The authorities cancel the tip taxation on Friday afternoon, Public Finances minister Eugen Teodorovici announced in a statement at the ministry's headquarters.

Two taxi drivers arrested for human trafficking
Two taxi drivers were arrested along with another two men on the Thessaloniki-Evzones national highway last Friday and charged with the illegal transfer of undocumented migrants after police located three vehicles, two taxis and a private car, carrying 16 migrants. Among the migrants, who were Syrian and Iraqi nationals, were five minors.

Thessaloniki cabbie's taxi bursts into flames
A Greek taxi driver was said to be in good health on Tuesday after a fire broke out in his vehicle while it was in motion.
The cabbie was driving through the neighborhood of Foinika in eastern Thessaloniki when the fire started.
Two fire engines were dispatched to the scene and extinguished the blaze, whose cause remained unclear.

Uber's Advent Angers Croatian Taxi Drivers
The US company Uber is coming to Zagreb, Belgrade and other bigger cities in the region - but the application that enables people to get cheap rides is causing dismay among local taxi drivers.
The application enables ordinary people to register as drivers who are then contacted by the nearest passengers seeking transport.

Police arrest two youths accused to cabbie muggings
Two youths believed to be members of a criminal racket behind the violent mugging of a number of Athens taxi drivers over the past six months were to face a prosecutor on Wednesday as police sought another two suspected accomplices.
