Talks on relocating embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem, one of problems related to Arab countries' UN vote(Melescanu)

Public talks on the relocation of Romania's Embassy to Israel from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem were one of the problems our country faced in connection with the Arab countries' votes for a non-permanent seat in the UN Security Council, Foreign Affairs Minister Teodor Melescanu said on Monday.

The Performance of the Participants in the Eurovision Song Contest 2019 Begins

The official presentation of the Eurovision participants begins, reported NOVA TV. 

The European Song Contest this year is being held in Tel Aviv. Representatives of 41 countries are participating. Bulgaria is not represented. The competition will take place under strengthened security measures.

About 8,000 Israeli police officers will be stationed in Tel Aviv.

Australia Recognises West Jerusalem as Capital of Israel

Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison has confirmed that his government will recognise West Jerusalem as the capital of Israel, reported BBC. 

However, he said Australia's embassy would not move from Tel Aviv, until a peace settlement was achieved.

He added Australia also recognised the aspirations of the Palestinians to a state with a capital in East Jerusalem.
