Aydın Doğan Foundation honors winning cartoonists
The winners of the 33rd Aydın Doğan International Cartoon Contest were presented awards at a ceremony held at Trump Towers on Nov. 22.
This year, 752 artists from 68 countries joined the contest with 2,521 cartoons. The winner was Italian cartoonist Marco De Angelis' cartoon depicting a refugee boat on a quilt that was causing Europeans to lose their sleep.

Golden Butterfly Awards recognize best of Turkey's TV and music world
The 43rd Pantene Golden Butterfly Awards were presented on Nov. 13 at a ceremony held at Istanbul's Zorlu Center PSM, rewarding the best of Turkey's television and music world.
The award winners were selected with the votes of readers of daily Hürriyet, and the ceremony was broadcast live on Kanal D and CNN Türk.
Turkish stars on red carpet in Bollywood
Turkish actors Hazal Kaya, Sarp Levendoğlu and Kaan Taşaner walked on the red carpet alongside Bollywood stars during the closing ceremony of the 18th Mumbai Film Festival on Oct. 27.

Locals living without power for 20 years in Aegean village
Locals living in a village in the Aegean province of Manisa are expressing increased frustration, having been forced to live in harsh living conditions without power for the past two decades, Doğan News Agency has reported.

During the "Beyaz Show" on Kanal D, a woman claiming to be a teacher called in and said: "Are you aware of what is going on in the east, in the southeast of Turkey?" (Applause from the audience) "Here, unborn children, mothers and people are being killed. There are pathetic people who rejoice at children dying.
TV watchdog fines two broadcasters for slander against Ayd?n Do?an
Turkey's TV and radio watchdog has fined three private broadcasters for publishing "news contrary to the facts" and for slander against Ayd?n Do?an, the founder and honorary chairman of Do?an Holding, which owns daily Hürriyet.
Turkish TV stars to join economic delegation's Argentina visit
Turkey's Foreign Economic Relations Board (DE?K) will make an official visit to Argentina in March 2016 accompanied by famous Turkish TV stars Halit Ergenç and Bergüzar Korel, who are very popular in Latin America.
Ergenç and Korel co-starred in the popular Turkish soap opera "Binbir Gece" (1001 Nights), screened under the title "Las Mil y Una Noches" in Argentina.
Turkish actor Akyürek nominated for International Emmy Award
The International Academy of Television Arts & Sciences recently announced that Turkish actor Engin Akyürek has been nominated in the "Best Performance by an Actor" category for the 2015 International Emmy Awards.
