Transgaz estimates 16.715 million MWh demand in natural gas in January 2015
The total demand of natural gas in January 2015 estimated by the national natural gas transporter Transgaz is rd 16.715 million MWh, according to proposal in the substantiation report drafted by the national operator of transport and transmission of gas system sent to the National Regulation Authority in Energy (ANRE).
Basescu asks for Gov't strategy for Black Sea gas transit to be made via Transgaz

Gas interconnector between Romania and Bulgaria to be done by year's end
The gas interconnector pipeline between Romania and Bulgaria's towns of Giurgiu and Ruse, respectively, is expected to be completed by the end of this year, said on Tuesday the CEO of Bulgarian company Bulgartransgaz, Kiril Temelkov.

PM Ponta: Romania and Republic of Moldova must become energy independent
Prime Minister Victor Ponta said on Tuesday, on the Tuzla Airdrome, after having visited the Ocean Endeavour rig whereby ExxonMobil and Petrom are carrying out gas exploration drills in the Romanian Black Sea deepwater, that "in three to four years" Romania and Moldova must be as little as possible dependent on gas imports.
