Tripadvisor's annual list of best hotels has been published. Click through for the top 15 hotels in Turkey that won Travellers' Choice 2018 awards with the votes of the website's users.

1.GRACE BAY, PROVIDENCE, TURKS AND CAICOS

Crete has come in fifth place among the world's top destinations for 2018 in the Travelers' Choice Awards of travel website TripAdvisor, hailed for "its rich archaeological and mythological history that's reflected in its ancient ruins and cultural attractions."

American users of the TripAdvisor website have given Greece the best reviews among the platform's visitors, in contrast to the Italians, who are responsible for the worst ones.

Users from the US appear to have the best impressions in all categories: hotel quality, the sites and the restaurants they visited while in Greece.

The travel review and booking site was criticized earlier this month for removing a 2010 review of Iberosar Paraiso Maya in which the writer, Kristie Love, described being raped by a security guard at the Mexican resort.

Oia on Santorini will be the second-best value experience of a lifetime for British travelers next year, according to TripIndex Experiences of a Lifetime, a cost comparison study by travel planning and booking site TripAdvisor in cooperation with Kantar TNS.

Two Greek hotels were voted among the top 25 under the “all inclusive” category in TripAdvisor’s annual “2016 Travelers Choice.” Ikos Olivia and Oceania, which belong to the Ikos Resorts chain in Chalkidiki, Macedonia, took 2nd and 6th spot, respectively. The first spot was taken by hotel Excellence Playa Mujeres in Mexico, with Tamasa hotel in Mauritius coming in 3rd.
