Police have arrested a Turkish citizen, an ethnic Kurd, wanted for membership in a terrorist organization.

The 41-year-old had gone to the police's aliens' division in Athens to renew his asylum request papers; when the officer entered his name an INTERPOL Red Notice appeared, asking for his arrest.

Turkey's internationally acclaimed pianist Fazıl Say gave a free concert on the banks of Munzur River in the eastern province of Tunceli, formerly known as Dersim, to raise awareness about Munzur River and environmental pollution.

Thousands of people from various parts of Turkey viewed the concert, accompanied by mezzo-soprano Serenad Bağcan.

Consisting of 40 water springs flowing from steep rocks and considered sacred among the locals, the Munzur Springs in the eastern province of Tunceli attracts the attention of visitors.

Declared a first-degree natural site in 2001 by the Erzurum Regional Directorate of Cultural and Natural Heritage, the Munzur Springs fascinate those who see it with its natural beauty.

Hasan Saltık, the owner of Kalan Music, which introduced the musical richness of Turkey to the world, died on June 2 at the age of 57.

It was reported that Saltık, who produced more than 1,000 albums, died of a heart attack.

The eastern province of Tunceli, where Pülümür, Tağar, Mercan and Havaçor valleys are located, attracts visitors with its white appearance in winter and lush green in summer along with the Munzur Valley National Park, which is one of the largest national parks in Turkey.
