Turkish Airlines named ‘Best Airline in Europe’
Turkish Airlines has said that it was named "Best Airline in Europe" by Skytrax at the 2024 World Airline Awards.
Based on results from the independent surveys carried out by Skytrax, the flag carrier also won two other top awards at the ceremony, including the "World's Best Business Class Catering" and "Best Airline in Southern Europe."

Turkish Airlines posts $226 mln profit in first quarter
Turkish Airlines' (THY) financials have shown that the flag carrier made a net profit of $266 million in the first quarter of 2024.
Total revenues grew 9.6 percent in the January-March period to reach $4.77 billion, with passenger revenue rising 4.8 percent to $3.82 billion.
Cargo revenues amounted to $750 million in the first quarter, up 27 percent from a year earlier.

Turkish Airlines carries nearly 26 million passengers in January-April
The number of passengers Turkish Airlines carried in the first four months of 2024 increased by 8 percent from a year ago to 25.94 million.
The international passenger tally rose by 6.1 percent annually to 16.3 million, while domestic passengers were up 11.5 percent to 9.2 million.

Turkish Airlines to launch Denver flights in June
Turkish Airlines is preparing to start flights from Istanbul to Denver in mid-June that will bring the number of destinations the flag carrier flies to the U.S. to 14.
There will be three weekly flights between Istanbul and Denver, starting on June 11, while the flight frequency between the two cities is planned to be increased to four in July.

Turkish carriers cancel flights to Iran, Iraq after missile strike
Turkish Airlines (THY) and Pegasus Airlines have canceled their flights to Iran, Jordan, Iraq and Lebanon scheduled for late on April 13 and April 14 for security reasons in the wake of Iran's retaliatory missile strike against Israel.
Turkish Airlines serves 18.5 mln passengers in first quarter
The total number of passengers Turkish Airlines carried in the first three months of 2024 has increased by 8.4 percent annually to 18.5 million.
The international passenger tally was up 6.7 percent from a year ago to more than 12 million, while domestic passengers rose by 12.8 percent to 4.49 million, the carrier said in a filing with Borsa Istanbul.
Turkish Airlines posts $6 billion profit in 2023
Türkiye's flag carrier Turkish Airlines reported a net income of more than $6 billion in 2023, marking a 121 percent increase from the previous year.
Total revenues rose by 13.7 percent last year compared with 2022 to reach $20.94 billion, while passenger revenue climbed 24 percent to $17.7 billion, according to the company's financials.
