Court arrests journalist Müyesser Yıldız
An Ankara court has ruled for the arrest of Müyesser Yıldız, a news editor of Oda TV, an online news portal on accusations that she revealed state secrets in her two articles.
She was detained on June 8 in over "political and military espionage" as part of a probe launched by Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office and was arrested early on June 12.

Former chief of General Staff dies at 88
Former Gen. İsmail Hakkı Karadayı, 88, who served between 1994 and 1998 as Turkey's chief of General Staff, died in Istanbul.
He had been undergoing treatment for cancer in a private hospital.
Born in the central province of Çankırı in 1932, Karadayı graduated from military school in 1951.

Turkish army to start normalization as of June 1: Defense minister
Turkey's defense minister has said normalization in the military will begin June 1 which will include resuming conscription and military discharge, which had been suspended due to the novel coronavirus outbreak.

Turkey's Defense Ministry is mulling temporarily halting the conscription and the discharge of soldiers, while assessing an alternative that will allow distance training for paid military service, due to the novel coronavirus outbreak, according to local media reports.
A decision on the ministry's proposal will be discussed during April 13's cabinet meeting.

The Turkish intelligence agency and army conducted an operation against five terrorists, who were plotting a bomb attack in Turkey, according to a local governorate on April 11.
