14 Peacekeepers were Killed in an Attack in Congo
14 soldiers from the UN peacekeeping force in the Democratic Republic of Congo have been killed and about 40 were injured in an assault allegedly committed by an Islamic militant group from neighboring Uganda, the French National Radio reported. The attack was carried out near the border of the Democratic Republic of Congo and Uganda. The dead and wounded blue helmets are from Tanzania.

Serbia wants to join civilian peacekeeping missions
Defense Ministry and Serbian Army members are participating in ten peacekeeping missions, under the command of the UN and the EU, says Aleksandar Vulin.
The Serbian defense minister added that it was "time for Serbia to start considering participation in civilian missions next year."
Serbian Army joins another UN peacekeeping mission
The Serbian Army (VS) will soon join another UN mission in the Middle East, the Ministry of Defense announced on Tuesday, Beta reported, citing a statement.
Lieutenant Colonel Stevan Raseta will serve as a military observer in the UNDOF mission, established by a UN Security Council resolution in 1974 in order to separate Syrian and Israeli armed forces during Arab-Israeli wars.

Dutch Govt Challenges Ruling on Srebrenica Deaths
The Dutch government has asked the Supreme Court to overturn a ruling finding it partially liable for the deaths of around 300 Bosniaks from Srebrenica killed after being expelled from a Dutch UN peacekeepers’ base.

Terrorist Attack in Mali
Again there was a terrorist attack in Mali. 15 people, including six attackers, were killed in an attack on the UN mission in Timbuktu. Reports BTV.
This is the second attack that took place yesterday against the UN peacekeeping force in Mali.
The attacks are just ahead of today's session of the Security Council for Peace and Security in Africa.

A Dutch appeals court found the Netherlands partially liable for the deaths of around 300 Bosniaks from Srebrenica who were killed after being expelled from a Dutch UN peacekeepers’ base in 1995.
Australia withdraws troops from Cyprus’ UNFICYP force
The Australian government tried to give some explanations for its decision to withdraw its troops from UNFICYP after 53 years.
According to a communiqué by the UN in Cyprus, the Australian government says the reasons for the withdrawal of the forces are economic.
70 Serbian peacekeepers seen off to Africa mission
BELGRADE - A 70-strong contingent of the Serbian Armed Forces, including 25 women, was on Monday seen off to the UN peacekeeping mission in the Central African Republic, MINUSCA.
The seeing-off ceremony, held at the Banjica 2 army barracks in Belgrade, was also attended by Deputy Chief of General Staff, Lieutenant General Jovica Draganic.
