Bulgaria to Revive Vidin’s Abandoned Synagogue

Two Heavy Crashes Closed The Road To Danube Bridge 2
Two heavy crashes closed the road to Danube Bridge 2 between Montana and Vidin on Thursday evening. The traffic was blocked for hours and that led to huge traffic jams.
The first crash was between a truck and a minibus. Sacks of cream were poured from the truck. The lorry's cabin had to be cut to get the driver out. He was injured and taken to the Vidin hospital.

Targovishte Municipality is ranked first in transparency among all institutions in the country in 2019. There is heavy truck traffic early this morning on the checkpoints of Danube Bridge Ruse and Danube Bridge Vidin, at exit from Bulgaria, Border Police said. Traffic on all other border checkpoints in the country is normal. Traffic data was reported as of 6 am.

7200 liters of alcohol, masked as coconut milk, was seized by customs officers in the Danube Bridge 2 area during an inspection carried out on March 15, the Customs Agency reported.

Illegal Tobacco Trade in Bulgaria For the Last Quarter of 2018 Will be Announced Today
A traditional study is carried out by collecting and analyzing empty cigarette packs in major cities in the country.
Data for the third quarter of last year show that the share of illegal cigarette consumption is just over 5%, reported the Bulgarian National Television.
Then most cigarettes without banderol were found in Pernik, Vidin and Haskovo.

There is heavy truck traffic to Romania through Danube Bridge Vidin checkpoint, according to Border Police data as of 6.00 am. On all other crossings the passage of vehicles is normal.

As of 6.00 am, there is considerable truck traffic on Kapitan Andreevo and Danube Bridge Vidin border checkpoints, at exit from Bulgaria, Border Police said. Normal traffic on all crossings on the borders with Serbia, Macedonia and Greece.
Bulgaria facing "serious demographic problem"
Dimitrova said that Bulgaria is one of the countries with a serious demographic problem.
In the current year, 60,000 less children are expected to be born at the national level, which represents a new negative demographic record for Bulgaria.
In the period from January 1 to December 1, 2017, 58,000 children were born, and 53,543 in 2018.
