The First Tests of the Toll System in Bulgaria Began

The state expects to collect over BGN 1 billion  per year, reported NOVA TV. 

The first tests of the future toll system for trucks and buses started. The demonstration will take place at Lesnovo Airport.

Toll charges will take effect from 16 August and will only apply to vehicles weighing over 3 tonnes and a half. Cars will continue to run with electronic vignettes.

Sale of Electronic Vignettes will be Suspended From 17:00 to 19:00 Tomorrow

Due to planned updates and maintenance of the electronic vignette system from 17:00 to 19:00 on May 29, 2019 (Wednesday), electronic vignette buying services will not be available, the Road Infrastructure Agency announced.

It is recommended that customers planning a trip, to buy electronic vignette prior to this period to avoid sanctions.

Over 2 million Sales of Electronic Vignettes in Bulgaria Have Been Realized

This was announced by the Minister of Regional Development Petya Avramova during her hearing at the Regional Commission for Progress on the Implementation of the Electronic Billing System, reported NOVA TV.

Hauliers and Carriers Insist that the TOLL System in Bulgaria Be Postponed to 2020

The construction of the toll system is scheduled and ready to be released on August 16, announced Regional Minister Petya Avramova last week. From May 15th, testing of the toll system begins in the "taxi" section based on distance traveled, she said.
 

Bulgarian Road Agency is Experiencing Technical Difficulties with Issuing E-vignettes

There is a technical difficulty in issuing electronic vignettes, the Road Infrastructure Agency said on 31st of January, reports BNT. 

Currently, they can only be purchased from the www.bgtoll.bg site, the mobile application, the self-service terminals and the cash desks at the regional offices of the road agency,
