3rd day in a row with no new Covid-19 deaths

For the third day in a row, no new coronavirus deaths have been reported in Greece.

Authorities said Sunday that, since Saturday afternoon, only two new cases have been reported, raising the total to 2,917. The number of fatalities remains at 175.

Also, 13 patients are hooked to ventilators, while 106 have left intensive care.

GCS: Romania's coronavirus death toll rises by three to 1,262

Another three people infected with the novel coronavirus have died in Romania, taking the number of COVID-19 fatalities to 1,262, the Strategic Communication Group (GCS) announced on Sunday. The latest victims are two men and a woman, ages between 64 and 71, from the counties of Buzau, Teleorman, and Dolj; they all had underlying medical conditions.

Restaurants and cafes reopen, travel restrictions lifted

Restaurants, cafes and parks opened on June 1 while the last inter-city travel curbs have been removed as Turkey enters the phase of "new normal" amid the coronavirus outbreak.

The government has been gradually rolling back the restrictions for some time initially imposed to slow the spread of COVID-19, which has infected more than 160,000 and killed over 4,500 people in the country.

Coronavirus: 7 new cases, no deaths

No new deaths from the coronavirus have been reported in the past 48 hours in Greece, and just seven new infections since Friday afternoon, health authorities said Saturday.

The total number of confirmed infections is now 2,915, with 175 fatalities. There are 14 patients on ventilators, while 106 have exited Intensive Care Units. Authorities have tested 178,316 people for the virus.
