Screenings of Opera Classics | Athens | March 16, 19 & 26
The Italian Educational Institute is screening filmed productions of Verdi operas by the Royal Theater of Parma in a tribute to the great Italian composer. The screening on Friday, March 16, is of "Rigoletto," "La forza del destino" follows on Monday, March 19, and on Monday, March 26, it will be "Aida." All the screenings have English subtitles and start at 7 p.m.
Jason Derulo will Sing the Anthem of the Football World Cup in Russia
American star Jason Derulo will sing the official anthem of the World Cup this year, which is to be held in Russia.
Derulo publishes the pre-release composition on his YouTube channel. The singer presented the singles a week earlier than his official premiere scheduled for March 16, writes Sun.
Lucia di Lammermoor | Athens | March 14-28
The Greek National Opera and Britain's Royal Opera have teamed up for a production of Gaetano Donizetti's bel canto masterpiece "Lucia di Lammermoor," directed by Katie Mitchell, conducted by Giorgos Petrou and Zoi Tsokanou, and starring Christina Poulitsi and Vassiliki Karayanni in the title role. Shows take place on March 14, 16, 17, 18, 21, 23, 24 and 28.

The Barber of Seville | Athens | February 20
The Trianon Cinema is hosting a production of Giacomo Rossini's charming "Barber of Seville" that is directed by Jenny Arseni and features singers from various music schools, as well as professionals in the lead roles. Rita Ora confirms performing in Kosovo
Kosovo-born British singer Rita Ora has finally confirmed that she will hold a big concert in Pristina on 17 February.
She rose to prominence in February 2012 when she featured on DJ Fresh's single "Hot Right Now", which reached number one in the UK.
