We will have a gradual rise in temperature until the end of the week, specifically until 28/9 with the mercury reaching even 34 degrees Celsius and weather reminiscent of summer again.

Clear weather is forecast for today, Sunday weather according to the National Weather Service. In the Ionian Sea and until midday in Crete and possibly in the morning hours in Evia local showers.

Autumnal weather will remain setting the scene today, with some rain and occasional thunderstorms in several parts of the country. By Sunday, however, rainfall will be significantly reduced and there will be much more sunshine. Northern winds will increase in the Aegean Sea and will reach up to 7 Beaufort in some places over the weekend.

The weekend will kick off with clear and warm conditions across Bulgaria. A gradual warming trend begins today and is expected to continue into the next week. Rainfall will cease, and clouds will disperse in most areas, making way for sunny skies. In Southeast Bulgaria, some cloudiness will persist but should clear up by midnight.

Today is forecast to be a difficult day with bad weather affecting several areas of the country.

Light showers and showers in the west, central and northern parts will occur in the country today, according to ERT meteorologist Panagiotis Giannopoulos.

Today a few clouds are forecasted, with showers and local thunderstorms in Epirus, Ionian, Macedonia, Thrace, North Aegean islands, Sporades, Thessaly, Central Greece, Euboea and possibly in Northern Peloponnese and in the mountains of Crete.

On September 17, 2024, Bulgaria will experience significant cloud cover with localized rain showers. The wind, which will subside in Western Bulgaria, may lead to fog in the valleys by morning. Minimum temperatures will range from 6°C to 11°C, rising to 15°C-18°C along the Black Sea and around 7°C in Sofia.

In Western and Central Bulgaria today, cloud cover will decrease, leading to predominantly sunny weather. However, in other regions of the country, skies will remain overcast with some scattered rain showers. A light wind from the north-northwest will prevail. Maximum temperatures are expected to range between 17°C and 22°C, with Sofia reaching around 17°C.
