Ankara urges EU to take principled stand against terror

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan on Feb. 12 called on the EU and other European countries to take a "principled and honorable" stand against terrorism.

Erdoğan spoke at a meeting in Turkey's southeastern province of Kahramanmaras where he said no treacherous activities against Turkey would succeed either on the field or at the table.

PKK members' hearing in Belgium postponed for three months

A Brussels court has adjourned for three months the hearing of 33 alleged outlawed Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) members who were taken into custody in 2010.        

The hearing on Sept. 20 was closed to the press, a judicial source said on condition of anonymity due to restrictions on speaking to the media.        

Is the resolution process re-starting?

It is difficult, I am aware, to talk about civilian resolution endeavors when urban wars are fought against the outlawed Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) and when soldier funerals are happening in hometowns. There are signs from the PKK front concerning the start of the resolution process. The state has not started evaluating this yet.

HDP leader on surprise trip to Brussels, may see PKK seniors

The co-chair of Turkey's Kurdish issue-focused Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) is set to make an unscheduled trip to Brussels on Aug. 5, his party said, amid reports he will meet representatives of the outlawed Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK).

Selahattin Demirta? of the HDP postponed his scheduled program in Ankara on Aug. 5, daily Hürriyet and AFP reported. 

PKK not a separatist or nationalist group: Senior member

Zübeyir Aydar, a leading figure in the outlawed Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) based in Brussels, has claimed that the PKK is neither a separatist nor a nationalist organization, while also stressing that the group fully supports the jailed PKK leader Abdullah Öcalan's stance in the ongoing peace process.
