Vucic begins visit to France

PARIS - Serbian PM Aleksandar Vucic on Wednesday arrived in Paris, where he was welcomed by French State Secretary for European Affairs Harlem Desir outside the Les Invalides memorial complex.

After the welcoming ceremony, Vucic visited Napoleon's grave and laid a wreath at a plaque commemorating Serbian soldiers who fought as French allies in in the two Great Wars.

France pays homage to the 130 victims of the multiple terrorist attacks that took place in Paris on November 13 with a solemn ceremony at the Invalides monument in Paris. Victims who could stand did while others who were injured were rolled in on wheelchairs as the names of the victims were read. Hollande took the podium for a fiery speech of remembrance.

 

 

France to Commemorate Paris Victims With National Memorial Service

France will commemorate the victims of the attacks in Paris on November 13 by holding a national memorial service on Friday.

The service in the French capital will bring together 1000 people at the Les Invalides complex, with French President Francois Hollande to address families of the victims.
