Vucic begins visit to France

PARIS - Serbian PM Aleksandar Vucic on Wednesday arrived in Paris, where he was welcomed by French State Secretary for European Affairs Harlem Desir outside the Les Invalides memorial complex.

After the welcoming ceremony, Vucic visited Napoleon's grave and laid a wreath at a plaque commemorating Serbian soldiers who fought as French allies in in the two Great Wars.

Vucic is scheduled to meet with Senate President Gerard Larcher later in the day.

The Serbian PM is on a three-day official visit to France, during which he will meet with the country's top officials, attend a business forum and speak to representatives of large French companies.

The agenda of the visit is exceptionally ambitious and includes political, European and economic topics.

He will meet with French counterpart Manuel Valls on Thursday.
