Officers involved in deadly pedestrian crash released
Two police officers detained after hitting and killing a pedestrian with their patrol car in southern Athens on Wednesday were released, state-run broadcaster ERT reported Thursday.
According to eye-witness testimonies, no evidence emerged that they had run a red traffic light, ERT said, though the official investigation is still under way.
Three-year-old boy dies after choking on grape
A 3-year-old boy died after choking on a piece of fruit on the island of Tinos on Tuesday, as reported by the public broadcaster ERT.
According to ERT, the boy's father promptly rushed him to a police station near the family's residence. Subsequently, the child was quickly transported to the Tinos Health Center by a police vehicle.

Sailboat being monitored near area of deadly wreck
A sailboat with about 60 people on board some 100 kilometers off Pylos on Greece's southern coast was spotted on Friday by Italian authorities, who informed their Greek counterparts.
The vessel did not send a distress signal, and was, reportedly, sailing normally.
It was reportedly being monitored by the authorities, according to state broadcaster ERT.

The six main parties have agreed to a televised pre-election debate, which will be held on May 10 at 9 p.m., state broadcaster ERT has reported.
The decision was made at a meeting of the interparty elections committee, which was chaired by caretaker Interior Minister Kalliopi Spanou.
