The municipality of Karlovo declared a partial state of emergency for the villages of Karavelovo and Bogdan due to rising water levels in the river. There is no danger to the population, said the mayor of Karlovo, Emil Kabaivanov.

The situation remains difficult in the villages of Bogdan and Karavelovo in Karlovo region. There are a total of seven villages in the area that have declared a partial state of emergency. President Rumen Radev also arrived in the village of Karavelovo before noon. He met people affected by the floods.

There is no information about dead or injured people in the flood in Bogdan and Karavelovo. Such signals are being received but at the moment they have not been confirmed. A partial state of emergency has been declared in five villages in the Sub-Balkan (Podbalkan) region in Bulgaria, following heavy rains that fell in the area last night. The Sub-Balkan road is closed to traffic due to flooded sections.
