S Korean court acquits Samsung chief over 2015 merger case
A South Korean court acquitted Samsung Electronics chief Lee Jae-yong on Monday of a raft of crimes linked to a controversial 2015 merger, Lee's lawyers said.

Jailed Samsung heir appeals against conviction
Samsung Electronics Vice Chairman Jay Y. Lee has filed an appeal against the five-year jail term he was given for bribery and other charges through his lawyer, according to the Seoul Central District Court's website on Aug. 28.
The website did not give any details about the appeal, which will be assigned to a higher court.
