Tourism Leaders Highlight Urgent Need for Black Sea Highway in Bulgaria
Dr. Polina Karastoyanova, executive director of the National Board of Tourism, emphasized the critical need for the "Black Sea" highway during an appearance on bTV's morning program. She highlighted the necessity of establishing a direct connection between Constanta and Istanbul and promoting international airlines to operate flights to Sofia, Plovdiv, Varna, and Burgas airports.
Bulgaria's Black Sea Prices Drop 20% as Tourist Season Extends into October
The Bulgarian Association of Travel Agencies estimates that between 300,000 and 340,000 Bulgarians will travel both domestically and internationally during the upcoming two long weekends in September. Greece remains the top choice for travelers, with bus trips priced between 330 and 790 leva already sold out, and air packages ranging from 800 to 1,250 leva for stays of 4 to 6 nights.
Ministers and Businesses Gave Themselves 10 Days to Look for Solutions for the "Tourism" Sector
The Prime Minister Stefan Yanev met this morning with representatives of the tourism industry in the Council of Ministers.
The meeting was also attended by four ministers - Finance, Tourism, Health and Economy. The aim was to discuss the problems of the sector and their work during the pandemic, as well as the compensation for business by the state.
"A Restart of Bulgarian Tourism is Needed"
The managing boards of tourist organizations and universities have signed a Charter of Bulgarian Tourism - 2020. The document is a roadmap for a responsible, coordinated and safe restart of Bulgarian tourism in light of the Covid-19 pandemic.
