Red Sea update: All 18 fires extinguished on tanker ‘Sounion’ – Vessel towed to Suez
The Greek-flagged tanker ‘Sounion’ has successfully extinguished all 18 fires that had been burning on board. The firefighting effort was completed on Sunday, October 6.
According to sources from the Ministry of Shipping, a specialized rescue team of 27 members, supported by the Aegean Pelagos lifeboat, carried out the operation.
