Brussels airlines expands year-round flights to Greece
Brussels Airlines will operate flights to Greece throughout the year. Until recently, the Belgian airline offered seasonal flights during the summer. However, due to increased demand for travel between Greece and Brussels year-round, the airline has decided to expand its schedule.
Hania: School evacuated following bomb threat
A secondary school in the city of Hania in Crete was evacuated Thursday morning after an anonymous caller said a bomb had been placed in the building.
Following protocols, the school was immediately evacuated, state broadcaster ERT said.
Local police are investigating.

Migrants found on Gavdos beach
Twenty-six migrants, all men, who disembarked on the beach of Trypiti on the island of Gavdos, south of Crete, were found by the coast guard on Wednesday.
They were transported by the coast guard boat from the port of Gavdos to the port of Hora Sfakion, and from there to a reception area belonging to the Municipality of Hania.

Women summoned to testify over illegal adoptions
Dozens of women have been summoned to testify in the Department of Organized Crime's preliminary investigation on the island of Crete after a request by the competent prosecutor in connection with the case of a fertility clinic in the city of Hania that may have operated as a front for an illegal adoption racket.
The case involved alleged IVF egg retrieval and embryo transfers.

Man arrested in Crete for alleged assault on pregnant partner
Greek police arrested a 34-year-old man from Bulgaria in the city of Hania on the island of Crete on Tuesday for allegedly attacking his 19-year-old pregnant partner.
According to reports, the man is accused of hitting the young woman on the head with a glass bottle.
