The lyricist Nikos Vrettos, who had written major hits of Greek song, has passed away.
The news of his death was announced in a post on social media by his friend and former SYRIZA MP Sakis Papadopoulos.
“Unbearable grief: a beloved friend, Nikos Vrettos, the inspiring lyricist, poet, intellectual, has “passed away”… Good journey to eternity, Nikos,” he wrote.

The Benaki Museum (138 Pireos) presents "Ghika: A Journey from West to East," opening at 8 p.m. on October 23, to commemorate 30 years since the death of renowned Greek artist Nikos Hadjikyriakos-Ghika.
