The services of the Hellenic Post (ELTA) were not at a satisfactory level even before the leak of their customers' data was revealed in March 2022.

It is a state-owned company that still has a key mission to perform, especially for the most inaccessible regions of the country. But for this to happen, the vicious cycle of failed "restructurings," which only costs taxpayers, must end.

Two Hellenic Postal Service (ELTA) vans parked on a central street in the northern port city of Thessaloniki were torched by arsonists in the early morning hours of Saturday.

Police detained five people for questioning but later released them.
