Hellenic Post issues collectible stamps dedicated to railway transport
Hellenic Post (ELTA) released on Monday a series of collectible stamps, dedicated to railway transport in Greece.
The series, titled "Greece's Railways," depicts four of the most emblematic locomotives used for about a century until the 1970's.
The images have been designed by painter-engraver Myrsini Vardopoulou.
Probe finds alleged illegal funding from postal service to union
The federation of postal workers unions (POST) may have received millions of euros in illegal funding from Hellenic Post (ELTA), a recent investigation by the Financial Police has revealed.
Hellenic Post calls 24-hour strike for next Wednesday
The union representing employees of Hellenic Post (ELTA) who are based in Attica on Friday called a 24-hour strike next Wednesday, protesting under-staffing and demanding the immediate recruitment of additional workers for the summer period.
Unionists threatened to continue with a four-day strike, from August 11 through 14, if their demands are not met.

Sending parcels from Greece just got cheaper
The Greek postal service, ELTA, on Tuesday announced substantial reductions to the cost of sending parcels.
It said that customers would now pay 1.50 euro to send a package weighing up to a kilo, and then 0.50 euro for each kilo above that.
Until now, the price started at 3.50 euros for up to a kilo, rising from there.
