Golden Dawn MP appears in court as more photos of party No. 2 emerge
Golden Dawn lawmaker Artemis Matthaiopoulos provided a written deposition on Monday as he appeared before the judges investigating the far right party.
According to reports, the MP refused to answer judges questions and insisted that Golden Dawn is not a criminal organization.
His deposition came as new photographs of the partys deputy leader, Christos Pappas, emerged. The lawmaker, who is in pre-trial custody, is shown performing Nazi salutes with children, wearing a t-shirt bearing the swastika and a fez with the SS emblem.
The photographs also show the text of a Christmas card sent by Pappas, which ends with the salute Heil Hitler.
Pappas and party leader Nikos Michaloliakos have denied that Golden Dawn is faithful to Nazi ideology.
