Dacic to German MPs: More issues are at hand

BELGRADE - Serbia's First Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic met with a delegation of the German Bundestag Thursday, letting them know about the essence of a deal on judiciary issues reached in the latest round of Belgrade-Pristina talks in Brussels and stressing that many other important issues were still to be dealt with.

Dacic updated the delegation of the Parliamentary Friendship Group for Relations with the States of South-Eastern Europe on the priorities and upcoming activities of Serbia's chairmanship of the (Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe) OSCE and spoke about challenges facing the organization, according to a release from the Serbian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MSP).

He particularly highlighted the work of the OSCE Troika, made up of officials from the previous, the current and the next chair countries - Switzerland, Serbia and Germany - and expressed satisfaction about his cooperation with his German and Swiss counterparts.

Minister Dacic briefed the German delegation about reforms the Serbian government was implementing with the aim of creating a favorable business and investment climate.

Dacic expressed satisfaction with the development of bilateral relations, pointing out that Serbia stood ready to improve overall cooperation with Germany, one of Serbia's most important business partners.

The Bundestag parliamentary friendship group's delegation, made up of Peter Weiss, chairman of the Parliamentary Friendship Group for Relations with the States of South-Eastern Europe, Weiss' deputies Josip Juratovic and Alexander Neu, and group members Heinz Wiese, Dirk Voepel and Ute Finckh-Kraemer, are on a few days' visit to Serbia.
