Belgrade classic car show takes place on Saturday

BELGRADE - One of the biggest classic car shows in the region will be held in front of the Yugoslav History Museum in Belgrade on Saturday, April 25.

The event will showcase a variety of classic and vintage cars, motorcycles, tractors, trucks and buses, and the museum will host lectures on the automotive industry, the Tourist Organization of Belgrade said in a release.

The show's organizer, Automotive History Association, also announces the presentation of a book by Miroslav Milutinovic "Automobiles and Josip Broz Tito 1912 - 1980".

One of the cars used by Tito, the 1974 Mercedes Benz 600 Pullman, will be on display as well.

Members of the association and guests from abroad will give lectures on the development of public transport in Belgrade through 1941, and other topics, and mark the 60th birthday of the first car made in Yugoslavia, the popular Fiat 600, nicknamed "Fica".
