US senators: Probe US meddling, Soros foundation financing

A group of US senators has sent a letter to Secretary of State Rex Tillerson to investigate US meddling in Macedonia's political scene.

Republican Senator Mike Lee, who published the letter, said in a statement accompanying it that Tillerson "should immediately investigate how US funds are being used by the State Department and USAID to support left-of-center political groups and impress left-leaning policies on sovereign nations, regardless of their desire for self-determination."
