Chefs from six restaurants in Bucharest, selected to participate in Gout de France / Good France event
Chefs from six restaurants in Bucharest have been selected to take part in the fourth edition of the "Gout de France / Good France" event, which takes place on March 21.
According to a press statement released by the French Embassy in Romania, chef Samuel Le Torriellec (L'Atelier), chef Sorin Miftode (Le Bistrot Francais), chef Lucian Horotan (Gargantua d'Oro), chef Ionel Chituleasa (Naan Food & Drink Studio), chef Dumitru Bucsa (Winestone) and chef Nicusor Raducanu (Golden Tulip) will attend, together with French ambassador in Bucharest Michele Ramis, a press conference dedicated to the French cuisine on March 19 at the French Residence in Bucharest.
Each of the six masters will introduce the invitees to the preparations for their guests as part of the "Gout de France / Good France" dinner, scheduled for March 21 at the six restaurants in Bucharest, and also in Timisoara - Sabres (chef Iuliu Ciornei) and Caruso (chef Mio Resnade) - and for the first time in Sibiu - Monsieur Joben (chef Alin Barabancea).
Ambassador Ramis highlighted the importance of this event, which gives the chefs an opportunity to stand out.
"Gout de France / Good France also means a magnificent network of over 3,000 restaurants and chefs on five continents that bring together world renowned chefs such as Guy Savoy and Alain Ducasse, as well as tomorrow's gastronomy celebrities. This operation is an unforgettable event for all chefs prepared for a unique gastronomic adventure," said Michele Ramis.
At the same time, supporting the development of teaching restaurants in special vocational high schools as well as dual education classes in order to better respond to the growing needs of travel companies is one of the most important projects of the Embassy of France, according to Jean-Philippe Bichaud, an international technical expert in the field of vocational education with the Ministry of National Education.
"Gout de France / Good France is an extraordinary opportunity to introduce French gastronomy to the students of Romania; beyond the aspects of following recipes for cooking, they have a better chance of understanding what the qualities that turn a cook into a great chef are," said Bichaud, according to the press statement.
The fourth edition of the "Gout de France / Good France," a tradition every spring, will bring together over 3,000 restaurants in 150 countries.
The Romanian restaurants will offer their guests, on March 21, at an event inspired by epicurean dinners, menus that honour the French gastronomy of the highest class.
