Miltiadis Tentoglou named top athlete in the Balkans for 2024

Miltiadis Tentoglou has been recognized as the top athlete in the Balkans for 2024. The greatest long jumper on the planet and one of the top athletes in all disciplines over the past four years was awarded at the Balkan Union Gala, which took place on Saturday night in Sofia.

Although the athlete was not present in the Bulgarian capital, his coach and jumps coordinator, George Pomaski, accepted the award on his behalf.

Also attending Sofia was the president’s advisor and vice president of ABAF, Lampros Papakostas. The top female athlete in the Balkans was the new world record holder in the high jump, Yarislava Mahuchikh, while the title of the top rising female athlete went to high jumper Angelika Topits, and the title of the top rising male athlete was awarded to Serbian middle-distance runner Aldin Katovic.
