Explosion from small gas canisters at the entrance of an apartment building in Glyfada

An explosion occurred at the entrance of an apartment building in Glyfada early this morning, caused by small gas canisters left by unknown individuals.

The explosion happened around 2:45 AM when the canisters were placed at the entrance of the building by unidentified people.

The explosion created a small fire that was quickly put out before the fire department could reach the scene, but it caused damage to the entrance.

A team from the Explosive Ordnance Disposal Unit (EOD) also arrived at the scene and collected a spent gas canister, a bottle with remnants of flammable liquid, and a firecracker.

The findings were sent for examination at the police laboratories, and authorities are searching for the target of the attack.
