‘Christmas Basket’ returns next Wednesday

The "Household Basket" initiative is to be extended during the holiday season with the addition of a "Christmas Basket," which this year will include six additional categories of products used in the traditional Greek Christmas dinner.

As the Development Ministry announced on Thursday, these will include lamb, goat and turkey, tsoureki buns, New Year cakes ("Vassilopites") and chocolate.

The announcement said that "the prices of basket products are expected to be among the best on the market and - in most cases - either the same or lower than last year."

The Christmas Basket initiative starts on December 11 and ends on January 3, 2025.
