Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni on Thursday hailed Italy's "excellent" relations with Greece, emphasizing their shared geostrategic identity and close cooperation on key issues such as security, migration and climate challenges.

"Our two countries share a common geostrategic identity," Meloni said during her annual press conference, highlighting her strong working relationship with Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis. "We collaborate on many issues with a shared approach, including security, defense, migration - which affects few European countries as profoundly as ours - and environmental efforts to address extreme climate events."
