Minister praises rescuers after skier found safe in Seli

Minister of Climate Crisis and Civil Protection Vassilis Kikilias shared the first photo of the 23-year-old skier following his rescue at a shelter in Seli, Imathia, on Tuesday.

The photo, posted on X, shows the skier inside the shelter, flanked by the four firefighters who located him. In the caption, Kikilias commended the firefighters and all those involved in the rescue operation.

"Warm congratulations to everyone who mobilized to locate and rescue 23-year-old Panagiotis at the Prionia forest station in upper Seli. Your selflessness and professionalism are a shining example of service to society," Kikilias wrote. He also gave special recognition to the four firefighters who found the young man, adding, "We thank you from the bottom of our hearts!"
