Turkish Cypriot leader lends support to arrested journalists in Turkey
Turkish Cypriot President Mustafa Ak?nc? has expressed his solidarity with the arrested editor-in-chief of Turkish daily Cumhuriyet and its Ankara bureau chief.
"Democracy, human rights, freedom of thought and expression and the right to access information are musts in being human," the president said on his Facebook page on Nov. 29.
Putin not meeting Erdo?an at climate summit in Paris: Kremlin
Russian President Vladimir Putin does not plan to meet his Turkish counterpart Erdo?an at a climate summit in Paris on Nov. 30, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters.
Peskov said Putin was likely to talk to U.S. President Barack Obama on the sidelines of the summit.
