Greek farmers concluded their meeting at Tempi where representatives of 35 blockades took part and announced that they are ready to protest against government’s measures by demonstrating in Athens.

Russian jet violated Turkish airspace: Foreign Ministry

The Turkish Foreign Ministry has said that a Russian fighter jet violated Turkish airspace on Jan. 29, months after a downing that caused a big row between Ankara and Moscow. 

An official statement released on Jan. 30 said the Russian jet -a SU-34 fighter-bomber- was repeatedly warned by Turkish air radar units in Russian and English.

Germany's Merkel says refugees must return home once war over

German Chancellor Angela Merkel on Jan. 30 tried to placate the increasingly vocal critics of her open-door policy for refugees, insisting that asylum seekers from Syria and Iraq would go home once the conflicts there had ended.
