Travel through summer reading lists

If you think everybody leaves their town during summer holidays, you are wrong. Me and many people like me enjoy the holiday tranquility of the city. Holidays are not only times to rest and relax but also to nurture and renew.  

If you care about your brain - I would recommend you do - as much as you care about your body, do make a culture program for yourself. 

The perception of Islam

President Recep Tayyip Erdo?an held an iftar dinner for prominent names from the Directorate of Religious Affairs (Diyanet). I have to say that I resented the fact that the head of Diyanet, Mehmet Görmez, came with the controversial luxury Mercedes and stop there.

At the dinner, former heads of Diyanet talked about religious education and the perception of religion in society.

200 documents seized in 'anti-parallel' operation in western Turkey

About 200 document files and computers have been seized by ?zmir police after a 21 hour-long search of an ?zmir-based foundation and a private university and its linked hospital, as well as a Bursa-based company which was said to have business ties with the foundation, as part of an investigation launched over allegations of financially supporting the alleged ?parallel structure.?

It was the year 2011. Ay?e was a 20-year-old woman living in the Marmara city of Bursa. She was slightly handicapped. As a woman of 20 years old, she had poor judgement; she could be tricked into doing things for candy.

Turkey's Ford Otosan cancels shift as labor unrest hits suppliers

Ford Otosan, the Turkish arm of Ford, cancelled an extra working shift on May 19 citing supply chain problems amid widening labor unrest in Turkey?s automotive sector.

Production at two major carmakers, Oyak Renault and Tofa?, which account for more than 40 percent of Turkey?s annual car production, was halted earlier this week due to demands for better working conditions.
