BELGRADE - An exhibition entitled Great Figures of African and Caribbean Cinematography will be opened at the French Institute in Belgrade on March 12.
Croatian Doc Fans Await Start of 11th Festival
The 11th festival of documentary movies, ZagrebDox, starts in the Croatian capital on Sunday.
Already a February tradition in Croatia, the festival will bring around 150 old and new documentaries from a worldwide selection, divided into 16 different themes over eight days.

Turkey climbs in global press freedom index, but warned about poor record
Turkey has ranked 149th out of 180 countries in Reporters Without Borders' world press freedom index, climbing five places in one year due to the release of a number of journalists, despite mounting criticism against the government's approach to freedom of expression and the media.

BELGRADE- The 11th European Feature Documentary Film Festival Magnificent 7 opened in Belgrade on Friday, with festival director and founder Zoran Popovic, selector Tue Steen Mueller from Denmark and film director Oeke Hoogendijk from the Netherlands wishing the audience a warm welcome.

Exceptional documentaries at Magnificent 7 festival
BELGRADE - The 11th European Feature Documentary Film Festival Magnificent 7 will be held at Belgrade's Sava Centar from January 30 to February 5, the organisers have stated.
Festival Selector Tue Steen Mueller from Denmark picked excellent, modern documentaries for this year's festival, originating from the Netherlands, the UK, Spain, Denmark, Portugal, Finland and France.
Exhibition from Royal Museum for Central Africa staged
BELGRADE - The Museum of African Art in Belgrade has staged "Echoes...", an exhibition from the sound archives of the Belgian Royal Museum for Central Africa, which will be open to visitors until December 20.
Tanjug marks 71st anniversary
BELGRADE - Today marks the 71st anniversary of foundation of Tanjug News Agency.
Tanjug was established in the midst of anti-Nazi operations of the People's Liberation Army of Yugoslavia and its first task was to inform the world about the outcome of the Second Session of the Anti-Fascist Council of the People's Liberation of Yugoslavia (AVNOJ).

Nikolic: Serbia is dedicated to peace
BELGRADE - Serbian President Tomislav Nikolic presented on Thursday the officers of the 57th class of the National Defence School General Staff professional improvement course with officer sabers and said that Serbian officers on peace missions were ambassadors and the most eloquent testimony of Serbia and its dedication to peace and security in the world.
