Bulgarian charged with people smuggling in Greece
A 49-year-old Bulgarian national faced a prosecutor in Corinth on Friday charged with attempting to smuggle 11 Afghan immigrants, aged between 16 and 18, out of the country.
Police found the migrants after stopping a truck being driven by the 49-year-old on Thursday at the Zevgolatio junction close to Corinth for a routine inspection.
NATO Chief Urges Macedonia to End Name Dispute
NATO Secretary General Anders Fogh Rasmussen told Macedonian leaders in Skopje that the key condition for joining the alliance was solving the long-standing dispute with Greece over its name.

Fitch ratings agency has upgraded Greece's sovereign debt rating by one notch, citing the country's improved deficit figures.
Although still deep in junk status, Friday's upgrade on Greek bonds, from B- to B, was a boost for the country that has been struggling through a devastating financial crisis for the past four years.
