Executive Committee of Bulgarian Football Union Still to Decide on Revoked Licences

The Executive Committee of the Bulgarian Football Union (BFS) represents the last hope for CSKA Sofia and Lokomotiv Sofia to regain their licences for participation in the domestic A Group.

The licences of the two clubs for participation both in the domestic and the European tournaments were revoked due to outstanding debts to the National Revenue Agency (NAP) and other creditors.

The Appeal Committee to the Licensing Committee of the Bulgarian Football Union (BFS) upheld the revocation of the licences of CSKA Sofia, Lokomotiv Sofia and Marek.

The appeal tabled by the fourth club - Haskovo was not reviewed by the Appeal Committee as it was not submitted within the required deadline of one week, the press service of BFS informs.

Bulgarian Football Union to Announce Fate of CSKA, Lokomotiv Sofia on June 1

The Appeal Committee of the Bulgarian Football Union (BFS) will announce its decision on the revoked licences of CSKA Sofia, Lokomotiv Sofia and two other clubs on Monday.

The Appeal Committee held a meeting on Thursday at which it reviewed the appeals of the four clubs with revoked licences, the press service of BFS informs.

Bulgaria's CSKA Appeals Revocation of Licence

The resigned executive director of CSKA Aleksandar Todorov submitted on Monday the appeal of the club against the decision of the Bulgarian Football Union (BFS) to revoke its licence.

The Appeal Committee of BFS will now review the new documentation, which was submitted by CSKA, and will have until June 1 to deliver an opinion on the decision to revoke the licence.
