Bulgarian President Radev Vetoes Armored Vehicle Donation to Ukraine, Prioritizes National Security

October Sees 41% Decrease in Illegal Migrants in Bulgaria
In October, Bulgaria's Interior Ministry revealed a significant decline in illegal migrant detentions by 41% compared to September 2023. A total of 1,359 individuals from third countries were apprehended, with 122 caught entering, 134 leaving, and 1,103 found within the country.

Lukov March Officially Banned
Bulgaria's Interior Ministry is monitoring the situation in the country and the capital because of the Lukov March planned for this Saturday in Sofia, Interior Minister Mladen Marinov said. Sofia Mayor Yordanka Fandakova has issued an order banning the Lukov March. Fandakova expects the police would ensure the public order.

Bulgarian and Greek special forces took part in a joint anti-terrorist training exercise at the Ilinden border checkpoint, Bulgaria's Interior Ministry said, quoted by the Independent Balkan News Agency.
The scenario in the exercise was to neutralise a terrorist group located in a former embassy, the statement said.

Vehicles are moving both ways through the Bulgaria-Greece border at all crossing points as of Sunday evening, Bulgaria's Interior Ministry has said.
The development follow a month of blockades set up by protesting Greek farmers along their country's borders and nearly a week of a "counter-blockade" staged by Bulgarian transit truck drivers in response.
