FSS: Krstajic to lead Serbia at football World Cup

The Football Association of Serbia (FSS) has decided that Mladen Krstajic will stay on as head coach of Serbia's national football team.

FSS Sports Director and Deputy Chair of the Expert Board Goran Bunjevcevic announced this on Friday.

Krstajic will remain at the helm "in the coming period, and through" the upcoming FIFA World Cup in the Russian Federation.

Stojkovic, Milojevic win FSS Golden Ball awards

BELGRADE - Partizan Belgrade and Serbia goalkeeper Vladimir Stojkovic and Red Star Belgrade head coach Vladan Milojevic are the winners of the 2017 Football Association of Serbia (FSS) Golden Ball awards for Best Player and Best Coach.

Both Partizan and Red Star have made it to the Europa League Round of 32 this season.

S. Korea, Serbia draw as Ivanovic makes centenary appearance

ULSAN - The Serbia men's national football team drew 1-1 with South Korea in Ulsan Tuesday as captain Branislav Ivanovic made his 100th appearance for the "Eagles".

Serbia took the lead in the 59th minute through Adem Ljajic after an excellent assist by Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, but Ja-Cheol Koo equalised just two minutes later following a dubious penalty decision by the referee.

Muslin's contract terminated, Krstajic named caretaker

BELGRADE - Slavoljub Muslin's contract with the Football Association of Serbia (FSS) as head coach of the Serbia men's national football team has been terminated consensually, the FSS announced on Monday after a meeting of its Urgent Affairs committee.

In a statement, the FSS thanked Muslin for good cooperation and the result achieved - a 2018 World Cup berth.
