Interior Ministry takes Preventive Measures Due to Adverse Weather Forecast
Bulgaria's Minister of Interior has ordered preventive actions in connection with the adverse weather forecast, the Ministry of Interior announced on 1st of October.
The Mediterranean cyclone from Greece was forecast to influence the weather in Bulgaria.
Criminal case concerning acts of violence against 169 gendarmes at 10 August protest
The prosecutors with the Prosecutors' Office attached to the Bucharest District 1 Court are working on a criminal case opened after the protest of 10 August, in which they are conducting investigations on acts of physical and moral violence having been exercised against 169 gendarmes.
Border Police: Heavy Traffic at All Bulgarian Checkpoints
Sofia. The General Directorate of Traffic Police reported the following traffic situation at the Bulgarian borders:
Heavy traffic of automobiles exiting Bulgaria at the border with Serbia through Kalotina checkpoint and at the border with Greece at Kulata and Makaza checkpoints.

Further € 109 m Will Be Invested in Border Region between Bulgaria and Romania
Further € 109 million will be invested under the Interreg V-A Romania-Bulgaria 2014-2020 Programme in the border region between the two countries. This became clear at the tenth meeting of the European Cross-Border Programme Monitoring Committee, which took place in Bulgaria's old capital Veliko Turnovo on 22nd of March.
A Train Ran over a Man in Montana Area
Serious accident with a passenger train, moving from the village of Borovtsi to Balgovo village, announced the General Directorate of the Ministry of Interior - Montana. A report of the incident was filed on March 20, at 13:50 at the Berkovitsa police station.

Prison Officers from across the Country Staged a Protest over Low Wages
Prison officers from the prisons and remand centresfrom across Bulgaria staged a protest in the morning on 29th of January in demand of higher wages and better working conditions. They were backed by a statement from their colleagues from the Court Guard unit, and several Ministry of Interior officers who were off duty and joined the protest.
15 People were Detained in an Operation of the GDBOP in Veliko Tarnovo
15 people were detained in an operation of the General Directorate for Combating Organized Crime in Veliko Tarnovo against distribution of drugs, reports BNT.
The large-scale action was conducted under the supervision of the Special Prosecutor's Office. The organized criminal group wanted to impose a monopoly on the drug market.
