A benefactor requesting anonymity has turned in a stone head - probably from a statue of Apollo - discovered in a potato field near the village of Alexandrovo, Stara Zagora district to the National Historical Museum (NHM).

The donation was made with the co-operation of the General Directorate of the Interior Ministry.

Istanbul Atatürk Airport reached all-time high numbers with a total of 1,500 takeoffs and landings on Sept. 18, setting a new record for the airport, Doğan News Agency has reported.

According to a statement by the General Directorate of State Airports Authority (DHMİ), 236 planes took off and 245 planes landed at the airport on domestic flights on Sept. 18.

Istanbul Atatürk Airport witnessed a total of 1,454 takeoffs and landings from its runways, setting a new air traffic record for the airport on Sept. 4, Doğan News Agency has reported.

The Culture and Tourism Ministry State Opera and Ballet (DOB) General Directorate will continue performing in the Central Anatolian province of Eski?ehir, southeastern province of Mardin, southern provinces of Mersin and Antalya and Istanbul throughout the summer. 

Bulgaria's special prosecution is investigating five officials from the Fund for Treatment of Children Abroad, including its former head, Pavel Aleksandrov, for corruption, it said on Thursday.

The  administrators of the fund, who have been charged with participating in an organized criminal group, corruption and official misconduct, were all released on bail.

The threat of drones to civil aviation traffic has been rising in Turkey and the country may use eagles in a bid to ease this threat, according to officials. 

Bulgaria decided to deploy more than 400 security men at its border with Greece to prevent a possible increase in migration flow, Bulgarian Prime Minister Boyko Borisov announced.
