Police raid brothel in Athens, 26 arrested
The Hellenic Police made arrested 15 men and 11 women on Wednesday at a brothel operating in the central Athens area of Omonia in violation of lockdown rules.
The brothel was located in a two-story building by police conducting a crackdown on illegal businesses in central Athens.

Around 4 million euros in fines issued since start of lockdown
Greek authorities have issued thousands of fines adding up to around 4 million euros for violations to coronavirus-related restrictions since the start of the nationwide lockdown on November 7, official figures published on Tuesday have shown.
60 arrested, 73 in custody during crackdown in Peloponnese
Police in the Peloponnese remanded 73 people in custody and made 60 arrests during a three-day crackdown on crime across the region last week, the Hellenic Police (ELAS) said in a press release on Saturday.
In total, officers questioned 918 individuals and stopped 670 motorists.
Police dismantle hydroponic cannabis farm in central Greece
A fully equipped laboratory for the hydroponic cultivation of cannabis was located in the basement of a house in the area of Fthiotida in central Greece, the Hellenic police (ELAS) said on Tuesday.
The basement was raided on Monday by officers of the narcotics unit, who arrested and charged a woman with the illicit cultivation of drugs, trafficking and violating gun laws.
Police officers implicated in major protection racket
A network of active and retired police officers, along with lawyers and entrepreneurs are being investigated in connection with a criminal racket believed to have been providing protection to brothels, strip clubs and illegal gambling dens, Kathimerini understands.
Wife, daughter arrested for husband's killing in Thessaloniki
A woman and her daughter were arrested on Tuesday for the murder of her 49-year-old husband in the district of Evosmos, in Thessaloniki, the Hellenic Police (ELAS) said on Tuesday.
The victim, a taxi driver, was found by his son in a pool of blood in his apartment late Sunday night and called the police.
Woman lightly injured as bus smashes into bus stop in Athens
A woman was lightly injured on Monday afternoon in a bus crash on Filellinon street in central Athens, the Hellenic Police (ELAS) said in a statement Tuesday.
The incident happened when the bus driver lost control of the vehicle and plowed into a bus stop where several people were standing.
The 39-year-old woman was injured on her hand, Greek media reported.
Five nightclubs closed for overcrowding violations
Five nightclubs in Attica were ordered to close over the weekend after raids on Friday night conducted by units of the Hellenic Police and the Development Ministry's General Secretariat for Trade and Consumer Protection established that the businesses had violated hygiene protocols aimed at curbing the spread of the coronavirus, notably by permitting excessive overcrowding.

Erotokritou twins donate 2,000 masks to ELAS
Greek twins Marianna and Sofia Erotokritou delivered a fresh batch of thousands of protective face masks to the Hellenic Police (ELAS) on Wednesday to assist their country's fight against Covid-19.
The two young students, who have been living and studying in China since 2013, launched a campaign via WeChat to gather the supplies.

AHEPA donates equipment to Greek police
The American Hellenic Educational Progressive Association (AHEPA) announced on Tuesday it will donate the Greek police force protective equipment valued at 25,000 euros.
