A "Yes" vote in the upcoming referendum on constitutional amendments is necessary to fight terrorism more effectively, President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has said, accusing the opposition of supporting terror and standing against the interests of Turkey. 

A total of 6 outlawed Kurdistan Worker's Party (PKK ) millitants have been killed, 21 hideouts and shelters used by them have been destroyed in anti-terror operations in southeast Turkey, the military said on April 8.

Over 2,600 people have been remanded in custody to await trial on outlawed Kurdistan Worker's Party (PKK) related offences, Turkey's interior minister said on April 7, state-run Anadolu Agency has reported.

At least 33 outlawed Kurdistan Worker's Party (PKK) militants were killed in Turkey and northern Syria over the last week, the Turkish military said on March 18.

The Turkish General Staff said in a statement that 28 militants were killed in anti-PKK operations in the Turkish provinces of Diyarbakır, Bingöl, Siirt, Şırnak, Bitlis, Batman, and Hakkari between March 11 and March 18.

At least 98 militants have been killed in Turkey and northern Syria over a week, the Turkish military said March 10.  

Some 71 out of 98 Democratic Union Party (PYD), outlawed Kurdistan Worker's Party (PKK) and People's Protection Units (YPG) militants were killed in northern Syria as part of the Turkey-led Euphrates Shield operation, the military said. 

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan said that Voting against constitutional changes that will bring about the executive presidential system will "benefit the [outlawed Kurdistan Worker's Party] PKK," and the ruling Justice and Development Party (AKP) aims to underline this throughout its campaign.

The upcoming referendum will be a chance to display a stance against the oppression of naysayers, main opposition Republican People's Party (CHP) leader Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu has said, noting that the "no" voters should never feel intimidated.
