PKK weapons, ammunition seized in Turkey's Diyarbakır

A large number of weapons and rocket launcher ammunition has been found in a house that was allegedly used by outlawed Kurdistan Worker's Party (PKK) militants in Diyarbakır's Sur district, state-run Anadolu Agency has reported.

Security forces tightened their measures and precautions before President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan visits Diyarbakır on April 1.

Some 33 PKK militants killed over week: Turkish military

At least 33 outlawed Kurdistan Worker's Party (PKK) militants were killed in Turkey and northern Syria over the last week, the Turkish military said on March 18.

The Turkish General Staff said in a statement that 28 militants were killed in anti-PKK operations in the Turkish provinces of Diyarbakır, Bingöl, Siirt, Şırnak, Bitlis, Batman, and Hakkari between March 11 and March 18.

71 militants killed in one week in northern Syria: Turkish military

At least 98 militants have been killed in Turkey and northern Syria over a week, the Turkish military said March 10.  

Some 71 out of 98 Democratic Union Party (PYD), outlawed Kurdistan Worker's Party (PKK) and People's Protection Units (YPG) militants were killed in northern Syria as part of the Turkey-led Euphrates Shield operation, the military said.
