Red Star take lead in play-off final series of Serbian basketball Super League

BELGRADE - Defending champions Red Star Belgrade defeated arch-rivals Partizan 89-88 at home in Game 1 of the play-off final series of the Serbian basketball Super League on Monday evening.

At a packed Aleksandar Nikolic Hall, Dejan Davidovac led the scoring for Red Star with 23 points and Yago dos Santos added 18.

Red Star Belgrade sweep Partizan to win basketball ABA League

BELGRADE - Red Star Belgrade have claimed their seventh title in the regional basketball ABA League by completing a 3-0 sweep of arch-rivals Partizan in a best-of-five playoffs final series with a 82-76 away win at the Belgrade Arena on Sunday evening.

The Game 3 victory was Red Star's sixth consecutive win over Partizan across all competitions.

Serbia beat Georgia in EuroBasket 2025 qualifier

TBILISI - Serbia beat Georgia 76-63 in a EuroBasket 2025 Qualifiers Group G Game Day 2 encounter in Tbilisi on Monday evening.

Marko Guduric led Serbia to victory with 16 points and Vanja Marinkovic, Aleksa Avramovic and Filip Petrusev added 15, 12 and 11 points, respectively.

Tornike Shengelia stood out for Georgia with 17 points and Joe Thomasson added 15 points.

Partizan beat Hercegovac to advance to semi-finals of Serbian basketball cup

NIS - Partizan Belgrade are through to the semi-finals of Serbia's Radivoj Korac Cup after beating Serbian League outfit Hercegovac Gajdobra 92-67 in the quarter-finals of the cup finals tournament in Nis on Thursday evening.

Partizan will next face Vojvodina Novi Sad, who beat Mega 100-92 on Thursday.

Serbia beat Canada to advance to basketball world cup final

MANILA - The Serbia men's national basketball team is through to the final of the FIBA World Cup after a 95-86 (23-15, 29-24, 23-24, 20-23) semi-final win over Canada in Manila on Friday.

In Sunday's gold medal game, Serbia will play the winner of the other semi-final between the US and Germany.
