Some 7,500 MW renewable capacity to be allocated for industry

Some 7,500 megawatts of renewable capacity will be allocated for industrial consumption this year, Energy and Natural Resources Minister Alparslan Bayraktar has announced.

Authorities are at the final stage in concluding technical work on new capacity allocation, the minister told reporters.

There may be more gas finds in Black Sea, says minister

Work is underway for natural gas discoveries, and there could be more gas finds in the Black Sea, Energy Minister Alparslan Bayraktar has said.

Daily gas production in the Black Sea field is currently at 2.2 million cubic meters but will increase to 40 million cubic meters, the minister said in an interview on broadcaster CNN Türk.

Country to face no gas supply problems in winter: Minister

Türkiye will not have any gas supply problems this winter as the country has enough gas at its storage facilities, Energy Minister Alparslan Bayraktar has said.

"The Silivri underground storage facility is 100 percent full. We are entering the winter well prepared," the minister said after visiting the facility.

The government's medium-term program attaches great importance to structural transformation as well as ensuring macro financial stability, Finance Minister Mehmet Şimşek said, adding establishing financial discipline will make it easier for Türkiye to achieve its goals in green and digital transformation.
